Can’t we shop like civilized Human beings ??

Ok, so the Holidays are upon us and we’re all out spending our weekends searching for that perfect gift for Grandma or Kids or Whoever but do we have to act like a pack of wild beast and stampede through the store doors or act like Cavemen fighting over a drumstick ?? Christmas should be a Merry time not a time of Black eyes or Bruises. I was appalled when I watched the TV and the News report was about a brawl that broke out in a WalMart. Why do we fight for Material items or Parking Spaces ?? We should be blessed with the more important things like Family, Friends, Love, Children, things that you cannot buy in a store. I honestly think the psychotic chaos that goes on between Black Friday and Christmas is just pathetic how grown Adults act like kindergarten children who don’t know how to share. I avoid that hoopla and order my gifts online about a month before Christmas. My Christmas shopping is done and over with. So people let’s act Civilized and shop with Respect and Dignity.

Music melts your Troubles away !

It’s really interesting how when you listen to a favorite song all day you become extremely happy sorta in a fantasy trance that anything and everything around you just sorta melts away. All you know is you’re dancing, singing, or humming along to your favorite song and the rest of the world is just a blur. All day I’ve been listening to the song HUMAN by THE KILLERS and I’ve been extremely happy today. All my worries, troubles, problems, anything, and everything just didn’t seem important and melted away. I was sort of in a hallucinatory trance where all I picture is a white room and I’m dancing around in circles. In I’m living in a secret fantasy world and reality is no where to be found. I feels really good to be in such a Happy mood and it’s all from listening to one favorite song all day.  Next time you need a getaway from Life … listen to your favorite song and turn it up. =] Are we Human or Are we Dancer ?

Spaghetti with a Bechamel Sauce

Been awhile since I last posted in my Blog. It’s cuz I sorta ran outta things to Blog about but last night I went on a Spaghetti experiment. Usually I make my Spaghetti with jarred Spaghetti sauces or just a quick saute using Olive Oil, Garlic, Parsley, and seasonings. But this time I wanted to try something *NEW* I tried to make Spaghetti with a Bechamel sauce and it came out very delicious. Just plain Bachamel sauce was kinda boring so I grilled some Chicken Breasts and sauteed Onions, Garlic, Tomatoes, Bell Pepper, and minced Basil. It came out really good ! I used a Linguine pasta and it kinda reminded me of Fettuccine Alfredo. I’m sure you can use this Bechamel sauce over Pork Chops, Roast Chicken breasts, etc. Below is the recipe I used for the Bechamel sauce …

5 Tablespoons Butter *I just tossed in a whole stick*
4 Tablespoons of All-Purpose Flour *I think I used 5*
4 Cups Milk
2 Teaspoons Salt

Directions : Heat Butter in a Saucepan over Medium-Low heat and add in Flour. Mix til Butter turns to a Golden Color. Now the recipe calls for heating the Milk separately but since I didn’t have a extra pan big enough to hold 4 Cups of milk. I just added one cup to the butter and heat the rest in the extra pan for like 10 minutes. After you slowly add the milk while whisking and toss in the salt. I added a few extra spices like Garlic Powder, Pepper, and dried parsley. Set the sauce aside and boil the pasta once that’s done. Just add the Bechamel sauce to the Pasta. The Bechamel sauce should be a little thick like a gravy. If it’s watery like mine was just toss in more butter and stir to emulsify and thicken. You can also add a little more flour but add it to a little water like a tablespoon or two cuz if you just add extra flour the flour will clump up and not mix. Try it !! It’s delicious !! =9 Yummy ! Cheesy Joke ALERT !!

So one morning a married couple has a small argument about Who’s gonna make the Morning Coffee. The Wife says to the Husband … You are ! Husband says to the Wife … No, You Are ! Cause you’re the one who knows how to operate that Coffee maker thing. Wife says to the Husband … You’re the one who bought that Coffee maker so you should make the Coffee. This went on all morning with neither of them making the Coffee. Husband insists that the Wife should make the Coffee and Wife insist Husband should make the Coffee. It seem like this argument would go on forever. UNTIL … the Wife picks up the Bible and says I’ll prove to you that you are suppose to make the Coffee cuz there’s a Chapter in the Bible that says so. Husband says to the Wife … There’s no chapter in the Bible that talks about the Husband has to make Coffee. You’re bluffing ! The Wife flips through the pages of the Bible and says … THERE ! It’s written in BIG BOLD letters. Husband frowns and says … Fine ! I’ll get the Coffee pot started. What chapter of the Bible says the Husband has to make the Coffee you ask … HEBREWS ! Get it He Brews. LOL I know it’s Corny but nothing better to end your weekend and start another work week with a corny chuckle. (n__n)

Let the Shopping … BEGIN !!

With Halloween now behind us and Thanksgiving around the corner. It’s time to get your Christmas Shopping started. Also time for the Malls to do their annual After Thanksgiving Sales and cross their fingers that Profits will rise up this year and not fall anymore than it already has. I do most of my shopping online and I think most of the people are going to do the same cuz we all know how brutal searching for a parking space on Holiday shopping season are and how carelessly rude some people can be just to get their shopping started. I remember once when I was with my Parents on Holiday shopping season … we were waiting for this person to get out of a parking space and soon as they person backed out of the space. Someone rushed right in and took the spot ! My Dad sat there and watched as this lady gathered her children and without a care walked into the Mall. She has no respect or care that someone was already waiting for the space … no remorse, no heart,  pure scrooge-like behavior. I think it was last year I remember seeing a parking lot brawl over two guys arguing over a parking space. Hence why I shop online now cuz nowadays people don’t fight with just profanity or words some nowadays carry guns and you don’t know what they’d do if you push them over the edge.

But if you are gonna shop online like I am … here’s a tip : SKIP THE OVERNIGHT/1 DAY SHIPPING. You’re honestly just wasting your money to pay the extra charge it costs for the Overnight/1 Day air shipping. I’ve learned the hard-way cuz I ordered something with it needing to be here ASAP and I thought … Ok, Overnight/1 Day so that means I’d get the package tomorrow. Sound quick enough for me. NOT !! The package still took 3-4 days to get here which is the same amount of time the Standard Ground Shipping takes. I could of just paid the Standard Ground shipping instead of the more expensive Overnight. So just stick with the Ground Shipping and just time your purchases to make sure you’ll get your items in time. Some websites tell you around when you should order by in order to get it in time for Christmas such as Amazon.com. Good Luck with your Shopping and remember your Christmas Shopping this year will boost economic revenues so shop freely but still stick to your budgets range.
